See, I have felt for a very long time that I am not a musical person, because my family was not musical growing up. But my husband, who is from a musical family and plays All the Things, has told me that all of this can be learned and honed on...so I am believing him and giving it a try.

But thank you, seriously, for the encouragement! I am thinking that the only way to really let myself grow is to stop expecting perfection and allowing myself to try new things without being so afraid of failing them. It's just a pain, because, you know, there are those people who seem to be good at things automatically... but maybe (just maybe) they feel that way about some of the stuff that I can do.
