Defiance...

If anyone wants to chat over this week's Defiance, please do!

My viewing of last night's episode was partially interrupted by the line of storms that came through, but what was up with that last montage/series of scenes? I was completely sidetracked by Christie's last-minute transformation, and was trying to figure out if it was Stahma initiated or initiated by the young blonde that works with Alak at the Arch (I cannot remember her character name, but I think it is Deirdre?).

Also, yay Tommy for staying, and I guess Berlin has a reason to stick around now, too. Also Amanda/Pottinger continues to develop (though I suppose he'll be out for a bit?), which I continue to find creepy.

And really, as always, I do love Stahma's evil, especially this episode. I imagine she keeps Datak around because he's useful in a limited sense.

I was discussing with the hubs whether or not Datak and Stahma actually love each other. I think within the confines of their upbringing, they do. I def think Christie's "Haintening" is the result of her "friendship" with the blonde from the radio station. But i don't think she has Christie's best interest at heart, and I suspect that Castethans will not be at all cool with humans imitating them.

Tommy didn't handle himself so well. There was a lot more he could have said to his girlfriend without breaking Arrissa's confidence. I think it would have reflected better on him if he'd have stood by her a bit more. He's been kind of a jerk this season.

*nods* Yes, I think co-dependency is right on the money.

It's sad that Christie and Alak are already drifting apart. Funny that while Alak tells Christie that she doesn't understand (about the hand burning thing), Stahma seemed even more pissed about it than Christie--and she *does* understand. I also agree that the blonde is after Alak, which is probably where her "live in their skin" idea stems from. I will think much less of Alak if he falls for blondie's nonsense. But then, he is sort of weak and pliable compared to the other Castethan fellas.
