Why we are so very tired of having to explain arguments of equality, diversity, and tolerance. One of the best compilations I've seen in a while.

wrt to that pineapple article, I thought it was amusing to see Hawai'ian produced pineapple referred to as "local", given how far it is from a lot of the US. I mean, a pineapple from Hawai'i shipped to the east coast isn't really that much more local, carbon footprint-wise, than one from Costa Rica, though hopefully at least those grown in Hawai'i aren't so environmentally damaging.

Some fascinating links there! The one on dogs really got me thinking for sure. Not sure doing an MRI on a dog for research is ok with me even if the dog is doing it of its own choice. It can't really understand what is about to happen after all. And frankly I think there are many dogs more clued up on life than some children but it is nice to see some things officially saying that. Dogs are not the stupid creatures too many think they are. I say my dog isn't the brightest and no, he does struggle with puzzles and such but he can follow commands, show his love, knows when to defend the cat, when to stay back, I mean....he's not just a 'dumn mutt' dammit.

Those are excellent links. I enjoyed seeing the articles, especially the one on the difficulties of explaining all things all the time.
